The Saturdays Mollie King's puppy Alfie takes her for a walk as the singer enjoyed a lazy and leisurely day off

Come on, Mummy! The Saturdays Mollie King tries to stop and talk to a friend but her puppy Alfie had other ideas as he pulled her along


After a very busy month trying to push their new single to be their very first number one, The Saturdays more than deserve a little time off.

Band member Mollie King certainly made the most of her free time yesterday as she enjoyed a leisurely day off pottering around London with her puppy Alfie.

And he was clearly happy to have his mistress all to himself but seemed so excited to be with her that he looked like he was taking her for a walk instead of the other way round.

Mollie, 23, was snapped out and about in London yesterday as she, accompanied by her cute fluffy brown poodle, ran errands and indulged in some pampering.

First on the agenda was a walk for Alfie, who looked thrilled to be with his owner and playfully pulled her along as she and a friend walked along chatting.

But he soon calmed down and obediently trotted by her side, giving her the occasional glance of doggie affection.

Dressed for the changable August weather, Mollie looked very nautical in denim hot pants, white boat shoes and a black and white striped long-sleeved top from Upper 5th clothing.

Mollie then headed into town where she indulged in a three-hour appointment at the hairdressers.

The singer, who was accompanied by her mother Susan, had her long blonde hair cut and blow-dried but then hid the results of her cut underneath a cream trilby hat.

After her lengthy stay at the Daniel Galvin salon, Mollie then headed off to continue her girlie day with some retail therapy.

She was seen buying clothes in Lipsy and Puma before heading home.

On the way, she stopped to refuel from her day at a food shop where she bought a healthy strawberry smoothie and a bag of nuts.

Mollie and the rest of The Saturdays - Frankie Sandford, 21, Una Healy, 28, Rochelle Wiseman, 21 and Vanessa White, 20 - have had a few days off after a very hectic schedule recently.

They have been heavily promoting their new single Missing You in the hope it would become their very first number one, but it wasn't to be and they came in third instead behind Eminem and Flo Rida.

Just hours after finding out they'd only made it to number three, as Frankie and Vanessa recovered from illness, Mollie, Rochelle and Una put on a brave face as they performed the song at the Radio City Live event in Liverpool.
