Prankster: Justin Bieber took to Twitter to get revenge on his online enemy

He may have the face of an angel, but Justin Bieber isn't all sweetness and light.

The Canadian singer took revenge on an online enemy by posting his private phone number on Twitter, causing him to be bombarded with thousands of calls and texts.

The 16-year-old tweeted a message to his 4.5 million followers on Saturday night with the suggestion fans would get to speak directly to him.

The note on his verified Twitter account read: 'everyone call me 248-XXX-XXXX :) or text'.

However the number didn't belong to the pop star, but a Detroit-based teen called Kevin Kristopik.

While the original message was quickly deleted, many of Bieber’s excited fans had already retweeted it.

Kristopik apparently got on Bieber's wrong side earlier this year when obtained the singer’s private phone number after breaking into the Twitter account of one of his friends.

Kristopik’s personal Twitter account now appears to have been deleted, but only after he tweeted about the prank.

According to New York website Gawker, Kristopik's messages included: 'I never asked for it, @justinbieber is a d***', And: 'i still like him, but this was so low.'

A You Tube video apparently posted by Kristopik shows his iPhone being spammed by contant messages.

Bieber's spokesperson could not be reached for comment when contacted by Mail Online.
