How DID you get into those Alexandra? Singer squeezes into skin-tight trousers on stage

By Andrea Magrath

Fashion forward: Alexandra Burke donned some 'spray on' trousers to perform at the Milk Festival in Dublin

She's always had a keen fashion eye and worn the hottest trends. But Alexandra Burke may have missed the mark when she took to the stage in two of this season's top trends.

The X Factor winner performed at the Milk Festival in Ireland, wearing a cropped 'bralet' top, and shiny high-waisted 'spray on' trousers.

The fashion forward look will be applauded by some, but the unforgiving style is certainly not for the faint-hearted.

Alexandra has always made brave fashion choices, often performing in barely-there costumes and stepping out in skimpy clubbing clothes.

But even the 21-year-old even looked unconvinced with her wardrobe last night, at one point tugging uncomfortably at her skin-tight trousers.

The Bad Boys singer showed off her muscular 'Michelle Obama' arms, also a huge trend since the US First Lady began stepping out in sleeveless outfits that show off her enviable biceps.

Seeing double: But the outfit is clearly a favourite for the singer, who was spotted wearing it clubbing last week

Despite her discomfort during the performance, the outfit is clearly a favourite, as the star was seen wearing the exact same clothing to party at Chinawhite last weekend.

Looking a little worse for wear after a night at the exclusive London nightclub, she looked self-conscious about the cropped top which exposed her midriff as she sat in the back of her cab.

Burke was performing at the Milk Festival in Dublin on Saturday, the first outdoor gay and lesbian music festival, alongside Sophie Ellis Bexter, Bananarama and Roisin Murphy.

She tweeted from the event earlier in the day: 'Just got to Milk Festival. Got a little while before I go on stage! But do I see a funfair... Bumpercars baby!'
It was announced this week that the singer will be swapping her risqué wardrobe and heels for fleeces and hiking boots as she prepares to conquer the Inca Trail.

Along with Fearne Cotton, Denise Van Outen and Holly Willoughby, Alexandra will make the high-altitude 45km trek in Peru for Breast Cancer Care.
