Will Smith's daughter, 9, copies her idol Rihanna's style in first fashion shoot

Just like Rihanna: Willow Smith poses alongside a Parisian fountain in the French capital this weekend

She may have some pretty stylish famous parents, but Willow Smith is turning to the pop world for her fashion inspiration.

The nine-year-old actress, who has appeared alongside dad Will in hit movie I Am Legend, was showing off her Rihanna inspired hairstyle and trendy outfit while posing for photographs in Paris.

Willow sported a Mohican hairdo, denim shorts and stylish black boots for the fashion shoot in the French capital at the weekend.

She posed alongside a fountain before attending the Karate Kid premiere with dad Will, mum Jada Pinkett-Smith and brother Jaden who stars in the film.

The young actress is said to have made no secret of her love for the Umbrella singer.

‘Willow is definitely inspired by Rihanna's style,’ her stylist Mariel Haenn told showbiz website Hollywood Life.

‘We make an effort to give Willow her own style, so as not to be a mini-version of Rihanna, but Willow really knows what she likes and what she doesn't like, and she's vocal about it.’

The starlet’s actress mother Jada also wants her children to have a more individual dress sense.

‘Jada said upfront that she didn’t want us to dress them like standard kids, like with Sesame Street T-shirts,' said Mariel.

‘And the kids really like dressing as adults and hope that adults will want to dress like them.

'But Jada will put her foot down if there’s something she doesn’t like, though if the kids really love it, she’ll usually let it pass.’

Apparently, Willow’s personality also matches her eclectic dress sense.

‘She’s a rock star, through and through. She likes everything to have that kind of rock ‘n’ roll feel to it.

'Instead of ballerina flats, for instance, she’ll wear motorcycle boots.’
And it seems that others might one day be able to have Willow's style for themselves.

‘With Rihanna, pretty soon after she came on the scene, you started seeing designers from [U.S. budget clothing store] Forever 21 to Gucci coming out with styles mimicking her look,' said Mariel.

'We hope the same thing happens here, but I think the ultimate goal is for Willow and Jaden to have their own line.'

Like her older brother Jaden, 12, who has appeared in The Day The Earth Stood Still and The Pursuit of Happyness; Willow has also begun to make a name for herself in the acting world.

She has starred in Kit Kittredge: An American Girl, and voiced a character for Madagascar 2.

Rumour has it that she and her brother are set to star together in movie Amulet, based on a series of graphic novels.
