He is known for his outrageous characters and slap-stick humour. But actor Jim Carrey is going to get a reputation as a bit of a ladies' man.

The 48-year old Ace Ventura star was relaxing at a friend's beach house in Malibu yesterday and couldn't help but see what the shoreline had to offer in the way of eye candy.

Standing on the balcony of the house Carrey, who split from long term girlfriend, Playboy model, Jenny McCarthy back in April, was caught having a good look at a couple of attractive young girl who walked past on the beach.

The actor and his friend followed the women with their eyes as they passed.

After the women had gone, Carrey and his friend both realised they had independently been clocking the girls, and burst out laughing.

This shared moment of manliness was short-lived as they were interrupted by Carrey's female neighbour, who stood and talked to the gents for a short while.

Golden Globe winning Carrey has had a quiet couple of years on the work front with only two films since 2008. (He won Best Actor for The Truman Show)
But with seven films in development and a new bachelor lifestyle he is sure to be busy in the future.
