'I never loved him': Kerry Katona breaks up with boyfriend Adam Waldron as she admits she wants to stay single

By Georgina Littlejohn

It's over: Kerry Katona has broken up with Adam Waldron, just two weeks after their romantic getaway to Spain

The split comes just weeks after the 29-year-old former pop star and Adam, 33, who have been dating since May, had a romantic getaway to Spain and were seen kissing and giggling together every day.

But things came to a head last Sunday when they had a blazing row, and Kerry dumped Adam and fled to her mum's, who lives near him in Warrington, Cheshire.

Kerry also revealed that one of the reasons for the split was that she had had enough of his drinking, just as she tries to cut down for the sake of her children and her career.

And she also cited not being able to afford the petrol to drive up and see him from her Surrey home as another reason to end the relationship.

She said: 'It all happened too quickly for me. I wasn't ready. My life has completely changed and I don't have room for a man in it.

'I still like Adam. I like his company and I want us to stay friends. He's very upset about what's happened and I feel terrible.'

But Adam insisted he was actually relieved about the split and told the Sunday Mirror that a life in the spotlight just wasn't for him.

He said: 'Kerry's great, but the life she leads isn't for me. I'm just a normal bloke. I'm not into the fame and being pictured and all that.'

The news comes the day after Kerry was reunited with one of her exes as she and Brian McFadden put their long-running feud on hold for their two daughters.

Brian, 30, was seen dropping Molly, eight, and seven-year-old Lily Sue at Kerry's home in Surrey yesterday.

It's been a long time since the pair were seen in the same room together, mostly due to their differences.

Brian is also on the other side of the world to his girls, having been living in Australia with soap star turned pop singer fianceƩ Delta Goodrum for the past three years.

Ever since, he and Kerry have publicly traded insults at each other, with her accusing him of not paying maintenance and him criticising the way she is raising their daughters.

But by the looks of the photos, it was actually a rather civilised reunion for the divorced couple, who even sat down and had a drink and a cigarette together.

Brian was taking Molly and Lily Sue back to their mothers' after they spent some time with him in Los Angeles recently.

He was snapped standing outside the house talking to Kerry and the girls before taking their suitcases into the house.

He then stopped for a drink and a smoke in the sun before hugging and kissing his daughters goodbye before getting in his car to make his way back to Australia.

Kerry and Brian met in 2000 when she was with the girl group Atomic Kitten and he was still part of boy band Westlife.

They married in 2002 but separated in 2004 and were divorced in December 2006.

But their split was far from amicable, with the pair of them unable to hold their tongues when it came to dishing out insults.

In April this year, Brian called his wife a 'pig-faced mole' who lives in a 'fantasy world' after she accused him of barely speaking to his daughters.

And just a few weeks ago, he said he was furious with Kerry and accused her of using their daughters like 'pawns' after they appeared on the Channel 4 documentary 'Kerry & Me', in which the troubled star was seen smoking and threatening to 'knock out' Molly.
