Jessica Alba is usually spotted attending red carpet events or shopping in Beverly Hills’ designer stores but the actress traded in her Hollywood lifestyle for trip to budget wholesaler Costco.

The glamorous mother-of-one drove to downtown Los Angeles yesterday to pick up a few bargains with a male friend.

And is said to have bought a TV, two receivers, a DVD player and some water during the shopping spree.

Despite going budget, the 29-year-old beauty still looked stunning in a black outfit and added a bit of glamour to Costco.

The Into The Blue star kept warm on the autumn day in an oversized knit jumper, a matching knit hat and tight black jeans.

Alba might be a busy mother of two-year-old Honor Marie but she has still been juggling her acting career and recently revealed she would be up for appearing in Avatar 2.

Jessica told GQ magazine that she would relish the thought of working with filmmaker James Cameron again, after he gave her her big break when picking her to star in cult TV series Dark Angel.

Far from Hollywood: The star went out to Inglewood in Downtown LA to find the store

‘He knows where to find me – I’m always available to him. If we can work together and have a successful movie and make a lot of money, then great. But most importantly, he’s my friend,’ she said.

The cover girl of this month’s British GQ continued: ‘Career-wise, the most impactful people for me have been James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez.’

And admitted that she felt nervous around Robert De Niro, who she co-stars with in slasher thriller Machete.

‘I felt like I was dreaming. You work with De Niro and you suddenly feel totally different.

‘My heart was beating fast, I got tongue-tied, I was sweating and so nervous. But he was so sweet, and gentle, calm, quiet and kept to himself.’
