Let them all run wild! Simon Cowell risks new X Factor outcry by giving finalists licence to behave badly

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Courting controversy? Simon Cowell, pictured on location with Sinitta, wants contestants to 'do what the like'

Simon Cowell is encouraging bad behaviour from the X Factor hopefuls - despite tales of prostitution, drug-taking and wild parties blighting the show.

The music mogul said he wanted the final 12 contestants to 'be their age and do what they like' rather than 'sitting in the library until three in the morning'.

The finalists have already been picked and millions of fans will find out who they are this weekend, ahead of the first live show on October 9.

Go wild! Simon with his group category, who are said to have trashed the rented villa in Spain during their stay

As the Daily Mail revealed this week, they have been moved into a £3.5million mansion in North London, leaving the millionaire neighbours fearful of rowdy behaviour.

And the mood of the locals is unlikely to have improved after Cowell's latest comments.

He said: 'You have got to have some sort of control in there, but at the end of the day you want to have the personalities through so it's fun.

'They are entering the music business for all the right reasons, and that is not to sit in the library till three in the morning. I am just trying to encourage them this year to be their age and do what they like if they have a career as a pop star, and for everyone to be a bit more relaxed about it.'

Behind the scenes: Simon and his crew watch back footage between takes

He added: 'These kids who come here, they are young guys and they should be making noise, having fun and going out.

'And I can't tell people when they can and can't have sex.'

Cowell, 50, had angered fans of the ITV talent show by refusing to disqualify prostitute Chloe Mafia.

The singer, whose real name is Chloe Heald, made it to the boot camp auditions despite being caught selling sex and pictured allegedly taking cocaine.

This year's contestants have already proved themselves a nuisance after going on a drunken rampage at their hotel during the boot camp stage and stripping in front of guests.

Hairy moment: Simon bares his chest as he chats to host Dermot O'Leary

Cowell himself was left appalled after hopefuls ruined his luxury rented villa in Marbella, Spain, last month.

They caused thousands of pounds of damage to the property - which cost £15,000 a day to rent - as well as drinking the star's vintage champagne and imported beer.

Nevertheless, he is keen to ensure that this year's contestants are treated to an experience equal to that of working in the music industry.

He has already axed vocal coach Yvie Burnett and hired a 'glam squad' led by stylist Grace Woodward to help revamp the hopefuls.

He also admitted that he is fed up listening to 'pathetic sob stories' and watching as acts are voted through on the basis of their popularity rather than their talent.
He said: 'I banned the word journey because that was a key part of it all.

'We got too much of this "I'm doing it for my mum who broke her ankle" nonsense.
'I never bought a David Bowie album when I was 17 because Bowie was talking on Top of the Pops about going on a journey.

'I don't want this to be a popularity competition. I think it is important that it remains a talent competition.'

Meanwhile, Cowell is threatening legal action after the names of the final 12 contestants were leaked online.

He is said to be furious that the information has been posted on more than one website days before the list is revealed on the show.

Girl power: Cowell is mentoring the group Husstle among others

The acts must all sign confidentiality agreements regarding what happens on the show, as must anyone who works on it.

A source said: 'Simon is very, very disappointed. He is a complete perfectionist.
Everything is stage managed to within an inch of its life so this will not be looked on favourably.'

After it first appeared on the Digital Spy website a week ago, the list was seen on the Radio Times website - which was promptly forced to take it down.

This is not the first time the names have been leaked. In 2008 another website was forced to take down a similar list of finalists.

First look: Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler take their seats at the American Idol judging table

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Tweet peek: Nigel Lythgoe tweeted a picture earlier today of new American Idol judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler with Randy Jackson and Ryan Seacrest

Excitement is mounting ahead of the start of season ten of American Idol, which starts in the U.S. July 12 on Fox.

To add to the anticipation, Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe tweeted a picture earlier today of the new additions to the show hard at work.

Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez were pictured sitting at the famed American Idol judging table with existing judge Randy Jackson and show host Ryan Seacrest.

Both Seacrest and Jackson have been with the show since it's first episode broadcast in June 2002 and are the only remaining original cast members.

After months of speculation American Idol finally announced last week that Lopez and Tyler would be joining the show, replacing last season's judges, Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi.

With the departure of the show's star, acid-tongued Simon Cowell, producers are looking to up the ante in order to maintain their previously record breaking viewer figures.

In addition to the introduction of the two new A-list judges Idol are promising a slew of changes to the show's format in a way to rejuvenate and freshen up the format.

Changes: After months of speculation Idol finally announced last week that Lopez and Tyler will be joining the show as the new judges

Ratings gamble: Idol producers are banking on Tyler and Lopez to bring in the viewers following the departure of their star judge, Simon Cowell

They have reduced the minimum age requirement for contestants by a year, from sixteen to fifteen and for the first time they are allowing contestants to apply online by submitting their audition tapes via the internet.

Idol hopefuls can submit a 40 second audition tape via Myspace between September 15 - October 6 2010.

Cecile Frot-Coutaz, executive producer of American Idol explained their decision to lower the minimum age: 'A lot of young, talented people are now seeking careers and representation before they turn 16,' she said. 'Lowering the age limit allows us to tap into this talent pool.'

In addition, the show's producers announced that they are scrapping the celebrity guest mentors that have advised contestants in past years in favour of an in-house mentor, Jimmy Iovine, Chairman of the Interscope Geffen A & M records group.

Make me a star: Idol wanabees are still flocking in their legions to audition for season ten of the hit show

Despite the changes contestants are as eager as ever to vie for a chance to compete on the show.

Wannabe singers have been turning out in droves for the opportunity to perform in front of the judges, with auditions already completed in Nashville, New Orleans, Austin and San Francisco.

American Idol has come under criticism in the past, with claims that contestants are forced to sign contracts that are heavily weighted against their favour.

It's claimed that the contracts give excessive control of contestant's careers to 19 Entertainment, the record company that was founded by Simon Fuller, creator of the worldwide Idol franchise.

Out with the old: Ellen DeGeneres, Simon Cowell and Kara DioGuardi have all left the show, leaving just Randy Jackson and Ryan Seacrest to carry on the mantle

But there's no doubting that appearing on the show can give unknowns previously unheard levels of exposure, making or breaking careers and launching certain contestants to mega stardom.

And it's not just the show's winners that go on to find fame and fortune.
One of the biggest success stories of the show's history is Jennifer Hudson, who finished a meagre seventh place in season three, but went on to garner an Oscar for her performance in the 2008 smash hit, Dreamgirls.

Season one and season four winners, Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood have both gone on to become mega successful recording and performing stars, along with Chris Daughtry, who finished fourth in season five.

It's Beyonce from the block: Singer delights young fans by joining in with street dance

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Less a booty shake and more of a wobble: Beyonce got down in the street after joining in a line dance at a street party in New Jersey

It's not a secret that Beyonce loves to dance.

But even on one of her rare days of the Single Ladies singer couldn't stay away from the dancefloor and she crashed a street party in New Jersey to join in with a formation dance.

Get down: The singer danced The Wobble delighting her fans, after visiting Jay-Z's mother in the city

Beyonce, 29, was apparently visiting Jay-Z's mother last weekend when she heard music coming from outside.

And she couldn't help but join in with the line-dance with a group of girls who looked slightly astonished but kept their cool as she followed them in the Wobble dance.

The Wobble is based on song by rapper V.I.C.'s single of the same name which was released in 2008.

It was a slightly more low key dance number than the high octane, raunchy moves the singer is known for.

Low key: It wasn't quite the raunchy routine Beyonce is known for

But dressed in super-high heels, jeans and a T-shirt, the singer seemed to be enjoying herself.

Beyonce has been enjoying an extended break after killing off her Sasha Fierce alter-ego following the huge success of her I Am... Sasha Fierce album.

She explained: 'I don't need Sasha Fierce anymore, because I've grown and now I'm able to merge the two.'

Singer-songwriter Ne-Yo, who wrote Irreplaceable for Beyonce, is one of the names linked to working on the follow-up. And although she looks every inch the diva, he says it’s really easy working with her.

'The thing about working with Beyoncé is that she definitely has her own agenda,' told MTV News.

Back it up: The singer has been enjoying an extended break after the huge success of her I Am... Sasha Fierce album

'She’s an artist that knows exactly what she wants to do. She’s going to give you directions [like] "Here’s where I’m going, so here’s where I need you to be" Ne-Yo explained.

However, despite the break, Beyonce is not exactly been idle. The singer is adding temporary tattoos to her fashion house’s sportswear collection.

Beyonce and her mother Tina Knowles are collaborating with airbrush makeup company Temptu to create a limited edition of temporary tattoos under their own Dereon label.

Designs for the waterproof skin art will include Dereon’s signature fleur icon, rocker bolts and chains, jewel baubles, and spider designs.

The tattoos will be available in both deluxe ($34) and basic ($16) packages on November 1.

Catherine Zeta Jones and Katherine Jenkins come together to fly the flag for their motherland as they welcome the Ryder Cup teams to Wales

By GEORGINA LITTLEJOHN

Welsh beauties: Catherine Zeta Jones and Katherine Jenkins pose together at the Welcome To Wales show at the Millennium Stadium

They may now be living hundreds and even thousands of miles away from their motherland.

But Catherine Zeta Jones and Katherine Jenkins will always be Welsh girls at heart, so there was no stopping them heading home to lend a hand in promoting their fine nation.

Jetting in from her home in New York, Actress Zeta Jones, 40, joined singer Jenkins, 30, who had travelled down from London, at the Welcome To Wales concert at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

And they looked absolutely stunning as they posed for pictures, Catherine in her trademark red, her long, short-sleeved gown hugging her curves, while Katherine kept it simple and chic in a little black dress and towering animal-print heels.

Both of them were taking part in the concert to celebrate the start of the Ryder Cup golf tournament which is taking place in Wales for the first time.

And despite growing up just 12 miles away from each other near Swansea, the ladies had never met each other before - with Katherine admitting she was excited about meeting the Oscar-winning star.

Speaking to Wales Online, she said: 'Even though she is from Mumbles I have never met her and I hope that will be something that will happen.

Asked if she knew what they would talk about, she said: 'I have no idea. She’s a Swansea girl, I’m a Neath girl – I’m sure we will have plenty to talk about!'

It's so nice to meet you! The ladies greet each other warmly as they meet for the very first time

Don't you look fabulous! Catherine and Katherine admire each other's party frocks

And Katherine, who performed a medley of Welsh hymns at the event, added: 'It's going to be an amazing night and I feel honoured to be part of it. I'm so proud to see such a massive event coming to Wales.'

When she was eventually introduced to Zeta Jones, she spoke of her love for Zeta's red, satin fishtail dress and told her: 'It's lovely to meet you. You look absolutely stunning. I've always wanted to meet you!'

The event was hosted by TV presenter, and another Welsh native, Steve Jones and was opened with a welcome speech by Zeta Jones, who had left husband Michael Douglas, who is battling throat cancer, in New York with their two children Carys, seven, and Dylan, ten.

And she fought back tears as she spoke about how proud she was of Douglas, 66, her husband of ten years, as she addressed the 13,000-strong crowd.

Pride: Zeta Jones welcomed the 13,00-strong crowd to the Millennium Stadium and spoke about her husband Michael Douglas's battle with throat cancer

She said the golf fanatic actor had been forced to pull out of attending this weekend's Ryder Cup as he completes his treatment.

Douglas had hoped to watch the US team retain golf's premier trophy against the Europeans at the Celtic Manor Resort, but had to abandon his travel plans because of his illness.

And his wife was visibly shaken and her voice cracked with emotion as she spoke about her husband's positive response to his treatment.

She said proudly: 'Michael will be glued to anything that has a golf ball and a club, especially the Ryder Cup. Usually I would be watching with him.

Songstress: Katherine Jenkins performed to the crowd in a sparkly black number and a short Kylie-esque outfit complete with huge butterfly wings

Gold Singer: Dame Shirley Bassey performs to the crowd as she waves around a huge gold cape

'He would be representing the American team and I would be wholeheartedly representing the European team, but not this year, maybe next time.'

She then asked for a tissue before continuing: 'He's holding up very, very well and everyone couldn't be happier with his progress. He's holding up with great strength and dignity.'

The concert also saw performances from Cardiff-born Dame Shirley Bassey and male voice choir Only Men Aloud as they welcomed the European and United States Ryder Cup teams.

Golf's greatest event is staged every two years, alternating between venues in Europe and the United States. The tournament will take place at The Celtic Manor Resort in the City of Newport from October 1-3.

Fore! Katherine, Dame Shirley and Catherine pretend to tee off at the end of the concert

The putting's not great, Charles (but the birdies are!)

He may have showed himself up royally when it came to golfing prowess.
But there were still plenty of birdies to be seen as Prince Charles opened the Ryder Cup in Wales yesterday.

The heir to the throne caught up backstage with old friend Dame Shirley Bassey, met Catherine Zeta Jones and Katherine Jenkins and rubbed shoulders with the golfing glitterati, from European captain Colin Montgomerie to disgraced player Tiger Woods.

But despite receiving a few pointers from the pros, the 61-year-old Prince embarrassed himself on the practice green at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport - missing four easy putts in a row.

Malaria, divorce, now Cheryl's battling back as she launches her new ring collection with star-studded party in London

By PAUL BENTLEY

Fighting fit: Cheryl Cole was back to her gorgeous self last night as she launched her new ring collection

It was her first official public appearance since she contracted malaria this summer.
And turning out for a company that has paid her £250,000 for half an hour's work, who could blame Cheryl Cole for picking this specific event for her comeback?

Miss Cole, 27, stepped out last night at the exclusive Nobu restaurant in central London, to promote Promise, a ring collection she is launching for the luxury jewellery firm de Grisogono.

It was her first working engagement for nearly three months.

Miss Cole has previously worn pieces by the jeweller on The X Factor and received an astonishing £250,000 for a 30-minute appearance for the firm at a Cannes party in May.

Despite having only recently recovered from malaria, and having endured a painful divorce from footballer Ashley Cole, she looked as glamorous as ever last night in an asymmetric dress with gold sequin panelling designed by Elie Saab.

She was joined at the event by several of her celebrity friends including Girls Aloud bandmates Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts, X Factor judge Louis Walsh and interior designer Kelly Hoppen.

Bit wet, isn't it? Cheryl shelters under a huge umbrella as she posed for the cameras

Braving the elements: Cheryl dashes inside Nobu before stopping quickly to flash her winning smile to the crowd outside

She contracted the disease on a holiday in Tanzania this summer. Last year, the former Girls Aloud singer saw her personal wealth soar by 150 per cent.

She earned £1.2million for the last series of The X Factor and that figure is expected to rise again this year.

She also signed deals with L'Oreal and Coca-Cola Zero, which were each worth half a million pounds and her debut solo album, 3 Words, went to No 1.

Celebrity pals: X Factor judge Louis Walsh and interior designer Kelly Hoppen pose with the lady of the hour

As a result, Miss Cole saw her fortune rise from £4million to £10million last year, landing her a spot on the Rich List for musicians aged under 30.

On Saturday she will return to television screens when the judges' houses stage of The X Factor is screened.

Guest list: Former X Factor star Diana Vickers, who was mentored by Cheryl, and actress Donna Air were also at the party

'Slowly but surely I'm finding my feet,' says Cheryl Cole about solo life in the spotlight

By JESSICA SATHERLEY

Fresh start: A happy Cheryl Cole pictured last week ahead

She was once just one fifth of a successful British girl group but now having found international solo stardom, Cheryl Cole says she’s slowly getting used to her new life.

‘It’s a very different feeling being out there on your own. Slowly but surely I’m finding my feet,’ she says in her new book Through My Eyes.

The 27-year-old is releasing her second solo album, Messy Little Raindrops, next month and as she moves on from her divorce from Ashley Cole, the newly single Cheryl found it the perfect time in her life to release her autobiography too.

In her book, which hits shelves on Thursday, she explains her excitement about starting a solo career, away from the security of her Girls Aloud bandmates Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding and Nadine Coyle.

‘It was scary and exciting at the same time, but definitely felt the right thing to do,’ she’s says in the book, which was serialised in a special issue of Hello!
But since leaving her Girls Aloud pals behind for a shot at solo fame, she has developed a new close friendship with 25-year-old Derek Hough.

Their highly publicised relationship has never been clarified as to whether they are lovers or just friends but Cheryl has nothing but praise to say about the dancer.
‘Derek is a sweetheart, the kind of person who makes the day more enjoyable. And that’s really important when you’re on a set doing a video for 18,19 hours – maybe longer,’ she says.

And despite having battled through a divorce with philandering Chelsea and England footballer Ashley and fighting off malaria in 2010, she says she’s had ‘the best times of my life’ in the past two years.

Solo career: Cheryl Cole's second solo album, Messy Little Raindrops, comes out next month and here she dresses as a ballerina for her latest music video

X Factor: Cheryl is said to be quitting the British version of the show at the end of this year's series to move to the Stateside version

After conquering solo stardom in the UK, Cheryl is now set to take on the U.S and is apparently quitting The X Factor after this year’s series to move over to the Stateside version of the show.

She is expected to sign a £3million deal with Simon Cowell to become a judge on America’s X Factor, which will only raise her profile further.

But international superstardom won’t rattle the down-to-earth Geordie according to her mother Joan Callaghan, who is her biggest fan.

‘She’s the most grounded person.. I can be hysterical and she’s like ‘Calm down, what’s wrong with you?’ She’s absolutely brilliant if I’m feeling the pressure,’ Joan says.

Forgot something, Britney? Singer visits boyfriend's office wearing VERY risqué outfit

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Underwear malfunction: Svelte Britney Spears visits boyfriend Jason Trawick but leaves her bra at home

Britney Spears paid a visit to boyfriend Jason Trawick's workplace yesterday wearing an outfit that left nothing to the imagination.

The singer looked toned and svelte in her Daisy Dukes and a pair of sky-high wedges.
But despite it being the hottest day on record in Los Angeles, Britney seemed a little chilly in her tight grey tank top.

The mother-of-two went to see talent agent Jason at his Beverly Hills office before taking him out for a spot of shopping.

And it looks like the 28-year-old didn't think her questionable getup was at all inappropriate.

But perhaps she was distracted by the thought that her highly-anticipated Glee episode is airing tonight in the U.S

Cheer up love! Britney looks slightly concerned as she visits Jason in Beverly Hills

And judging by her Twitter updates, Britney can barely contain her excitement.

She says: 'Can't wait for GLEE tomorrow night. I'm going to tweet along as it airs on the West Coast so we can watch together.'

The hour-long episode, called Britney/Brittany, brings to the forefront the character of cheerleader Brittany, portrayed by Heather Morris.

Full of Glee! Britney's much-anticipated Glee episode airs tonight in the U.S

What a gent: Jason carries Britney's handbag as they go shopping together

And it's based entirely around Britney's hit songs and music videos, including Hit Me Baby (One More Time), Oops I Did It Again, Stronger, Slave For You, Toxic and Me Against The Music.

'When Brittany and the gang try to convince Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) to let them do a Britney Spears number, he is reluctant to go that edgy,' states Columbia Records, which releases and promotes Glee's music.

That's better! Britney covers up her very revealing top with a light pink cardigan
The cast of Glee released yet another promo, this time talking about how exciting it is to work with Britney.

Heather Morris is especially thrilled to be working with someone she has idolised for years.

She says: 'When I was younger she was, like, my idol. [I'm A] Slave [4 U]' is, like, the best video ever.

'I am, like, literally an inch away from Britney Spears, who I used to watch on television and, like, learn dance moves to. ... It's going to be Spearstacular.'
Glee airs on Fox tonight at 8pm.

'I’m a typical woman driver': Katie Price blames being female on 'careless' manoeuvre

In trouble with the law: Katie Price, with husband Alex Reid, at the Mid Sussex Magistrates' Court in Haywards Heath today

They were all off to Euro Disney in a massive pink horsebox.

At the wheel was glamour model Katie Price, aka Jordan, and beside her was her cage-fighter husband Alex Reid. Two friends and four ‘very excited children’ – two of the friends’ and two of Miss Price’s – were in the back.

But the trip came to a sudden end on a dual carriageway in West Sussex when two police officers thought they saw her using a mobile phone while driving.

Yesterday, at a magistrates’ court hearing, the former Page 3 model robustly denied using her pink, jewel-encrusted ‘blingy’ phone at the wheel on that February day.

Explaining why the truck may have swerved as the police patrol followed it along the A23 near Bolney, Miss Price, dressed entirely in black from her hairband to her five-inch stiletto heels, said: ‘I’m a typical woman driver. It’s a massive great lorry and I just wasn’t used to driving it.’

Her performance in the witness box – coupled with the screening of an in-car police DVD of the incident – lent the hearing a flavour of TV’s I’m A Celebrity crossed with Police, Camera, Action!’

But even the much-vaunted skills of lawyer Nick ‘Mr Loophole’ Freeman, who has successfully represented a host of stars, were not enough to get this particular celebrity out of here.

Mid Sussex magistrates found her guilty of the charge of not being in proper control of the vehicle, gave her three penalty points to add to seven already on her licence, fined her £1,000 and ordered her to pay £650 costs.

In court yesterday, Mr Reid sported virtually impenetrable sunglasses (apparently his last fight, was a particularly punishing one) while mother-of-three, Miss Price, 32, spent much of her time looking sombre and shivering.

‘I’m freezing!’ she told us. ‘I’m naturally a cold person.’

Woman driver: Katie told the court she had not been on her phone but was just getting used to her big pink horsebox

‘The kids were very excitable,’ she said. ‘We were all going to Euro Disney in a big pink lorry. You couldn’t really blame them, could you? It’s quite over the top really, isn’t it?’

Re-enacting her surprise when the police car pulled alongside her, she looked over one shoulder and said: ‘I’m like this – sort of like, ooh!’

When the officer pulled her over and approached the cab, she told the court he said, ‘Oh, it’s you again – we’ve met before.’

Mr Loophole: Katie is being represented by celebrity lawyer Nick Freeman

‘He’s pulled me before,’ she explained. ‘I’m always getting pulled by the police for stupid things.’

There was confusion over how many points she had on her licence. ‘Three, the last time I looked,’ she said. Mr Freeman interrupted to say it was seven. ‘Oh,’ said Miss Price. ‘Then that’s a very bad girl.’ Outside, the former Page 3 girl was involved in a scuffle with photographers and was driven away through a crowd.

Mr Freeman lodged an appeal against conviction and sentence before driving off in his Aston Martin convertible.

Lindsay Lohan reunited with her SCRAM bracelet as she relaxes with sister Ali before 'checking into rehab'

By SARAH BULL

Day out: Lindsay Lohan was photographed wearing a SCRAM bracelet on her left ankle after leaving jail

When she was first told she would have to wear a SCRAM bracelet to monitor the levels of alcohol in her body, Lindsay Lohan adopted a wintery wardrobe of trousers and boots to keep the device hidden.

But second time around, the 24-year-old actress appears to be happy to stick to her usual outfits of tiny shorts and high heels, drawing attention to the black device on her left ankle.

Lohan, who was released from jail after just 14 hours last week, was relaxing on a grassy lawn with her 16-year-old sister Ali when she was photographed.

Relaxing: Lindsay enjoyed relaxing on a grassy lawn with her sister Ali and a movie script

And the Mean Girls star was clearly keen to emphasise the fact she is planning on sticking to her SCRAM regulations this time around, posing with a bottle of water in front of her.

While Lindsay appeared to be studying a movie script, possibly for a film she is planning to star in in the near future, her sister Ali opted for something a bit more hard-hitting as she started reading Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking, a psychology book written by Malcolm Gladwell.

Lindsay was ordered to wear the SCRAM bracelet as she was released from jail after failing two court ordered drugs tests that were part of her probation terms from a 2007 DUI case.

The photos of Lindsay and her sister comes after it was reported the actress will be checking into a rehab centre today.

Treatment: The 24-year-old actress is said to be checking into a rehab centre later today

Gossip website TMZ.com claimed Lindsay will be moving into the live-in centre, situated somewhere in Southern California, later this afternoon.

The story alleges Lindsay has chosen the facility because it is close to her friends and family, and she plans to stay there until her court hearing on October 22nd.

Judge Elden Fox initially refused Lindsay bail, meaning she could have stayed in jail until the hearing next month, but the star's lawyer Shaun Chapman Holley appealed the decision and got the ruling overturned allowing her to post a $300,000 bail and be released from jail.

It is believed at the October court hearing Lohan will be ordered to serve 30 days in jail for every individual probation violation.

Sisterly bonding: Lindsay looked thrilled to be spending some time with her 16-year-old sister Ali

Enjoying the sunshine: Lindsay wore a pair of tiny black shorts, a loose blouse and a pair of black heels

Just hours after leaving the Lynwood County Correctional Facility on Friday, Lindsay visited The Dream Centre LA - a church near downtown Los Angeles which specialises in caring for the city's homeless.

Following the visit, Lindsay tweeted: 'What a great place The Dream Center is here in LA. Had a nice time there today, it's so important to give back. I feel blessed.'
Stars including Precious actress Mo'Nique and reality TV star Kim Kardashian have come out to defend the actress, insisting she needs space to overcome her personal difficulties.

Mo'Nique said: 'Stop judging her! That baby simply needs some help and if it was your baby, would you want to turn on the TV every night and hear people's horrible opinions and they don't know what's really happening? So the advice is for us. Stop judging that baby.'

And Kim added: 'You just have to be supportive of your friends. She's a strong girl and I just wish her the best.'

Mariah Carey takes a tumble onstage... then summons an assistant to remove her heels

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Balancing act: Mariah Carey loses her footing as she performs in Singapore

It's the moment every singer dreads - falling over while performing on stage.

Mariah Carey experienced just that during a concert in Singapore on Saturday.

The 40-year-old diva took a tumble as she belted out her song Make It Happen at a Formula 1 event.

Hitting the deck: Carey laughs as a backing dancer helps her to her feet

She ended up sitting on the stage before being helped up by one of her backing dancers.

As she was hoisted to her feet, Carey quickly joked: 'I meant to do that.'

But the Dreamlover singer was taking no chances and luckily an assistant was on hand to remove the vertiginous heels that no doubt contributed to her fall.

The female assistant removed her shoes as Carey continued to sing, before finishing the 90-minute performance barefoot.

The singer later tweeted: 'TY SO much to my fans in Singapore!!! Yeah, several hectic moments, (lol!)but I tried to swirl them into festive!.Love+ God Bless!'

Helping hand: Carey summons an assistant onto the stage

Carey has been married for two years to American Idol host Nick Cannon.

Rumours have been swirling that the singer is pregnant with their first child, but are yet to be confirmed by the star.

This summer Carey released a statement via her publicist, Cindi Berger, saying:
'I appreciate everyone's well wishes but I am very superstitious.

'When the time is right, everyone will know - even Cindi Berger.'

Diva: the assistant removes Carey's shoes while the singer continues to perform her song 'Make It Happen'

Cannon, 29, has also spoken out about the rumours.

'I've said it before and I'll say it time and time again – when my wife feels like talking about whatever she wants to talk about, you will hear it directly from her,' he said on his radio show in August.

Last week Carey confirmed she will be releasing a second Christmas album in November, sixteen years after releasing her first, titled Mariah Carey.
