Too much on show: Miley Cyrus makes a fashion faux pas as she arrives bra-less for a lunch date with her mother and little sister


For a casual lunch date with your mum and little sister, a pair of shorts and a T-shirt is perfectly acceptable attire.

However, it appears that Miley Cyrus has been turning to pop idol Britney Spears for fashion inspiration and making her attire a little too casual.

The pop star was snapped out in Los Angeles yesterday in denim shorts and a slashed white T-shirt that blatantly showed she had missed her underwear drawer while getting dressed.

The see-through top showed that the 17-year-old had gone bra-less for the day as she met her mother Tish and little sister Noah for a spot of lunch.

And she seemed oblivious to the stares she was attracting as she walked towards Patty's diner in Toluca Lake.

Maybe she thought it was a cool look on Britney, who is often snapped out and about without a bra on.

Miley teamed the shorts and slashed T-shirt with a aquamarine pendant and short brown suede pixie boots.

She was also seen confronting a female videographer as she and her family dined outside the restaurant.

The singer got annoyed by the woman's presence and looked upset as she walked up to her and got into a heated conversation before the woman stopped filming and walked away.

She was happy to pose for pictures for her fans though alongside her mother and sister.

Noah, however, didn't follow her sister's fashion mistake and remembered to wear underwear.

Although being only ten years old, an age that is still considered a child in most people's eyes, she doesn't actually need to wear one, and she certainly didn't need to flash it from beneath her vest top.

And unlike most mothers who probably wouldn't even let their little girls leave the house dressed like that, Tish Cyrus happily posed for a snap for a fan alongside her girls and their inappropriate attire.

Then again, this is the mother who gave her approval on a fashion range designed by her daughter but was slammed by critics for being highly unsuitable for little girls.

Earlier this year there was an outcry from parents after Disney star Noah Cyrus launched a children’s clothing range which included an array of mini skirts, skin-tight lycra dresses, and high-heeled knee high boots.

And last October, she also caused controversy when she attended a Halloween party dressed in a black lace-up mini dress with PVC knee-high boots.
